Running a small IT support business on AcrossView

You fix computers for shops, clinics, schools and families, and most problems are software. Every visit you avoid is an hour earned. This is how a one-person or five-person support business runs its day on AcrossView, and what it costs: nothing, today.

A new customer calls

  1. Send them acrossview.com/share on WhatsApp. They read you the number and press Allow. You see the screen and diagnose: 90 seconds, no install.
  2. If you need to do the work yourself, send acrossview.com/download: one file that sets itself up, with a Desktop icon. They open it and read you the new number; this time you can take the mouse once they allow it.
  3. Fix the problem. Send the driver or tool with the file manager; move their files back the same way.

A customer you will keep

  • Set an unattended-access password on their computer, with their agreement, and install AcrossView as a service so the machine is reachable after a restart.
  • Star the computer in your address book and give it a name: "Sharma Medical, billing PC". The book shows which computers are online.
  • Next time, Connect, password, done, even if the shop is closed.

Working with a team

  • Each technician signs in with their own email. Sessions open in their own windows, so several run at once.
  • Team chat and meetings are in the same product for internal talk and customer calls.
  • The API and webhooks can create sessions and meetings from your own ticketing system; see the API.

What customers worry about, and what to tell them

  • "Can you see my computer whenever you want?" Only with the password they agreed to, and every connection shows a notice on their screen. They can switch unattended access off at any time from the icon near the clock.
  • "Is it safe?" Every session is end-to-end encrypted; our servers in Mumbai cannot see it. See Security.
  • "Is this one of those scam apps?" The app says, in Hindi and English, that no bank or official will ever ask them to install it. That protects them, and it protects your reputation.

Costs

AcrossView is ₹0 today, home or business. Without an account, 15 minutes per session; with a free account, 60. Paid accounts will remove the limit and keep recordings longer; prices are not set yet and will be published on Pricing first. Compared with per-user licences, see the comparisons.

Can I put my own name and logo on it?

Not yet. Custom branding of the share page and the app is planned for paid accounts.

Can I bill customers through AcrossView?

No. Use your own invoicing; AcrossView's connection records (who, when, how long) can help you keep track of time spent.

Does it work for Mac customers?

They can share their screen from the browser and you can guide them. Taking control of a Mac is not supported yet.
